BBS

This is the first open comb razor I have tried. Whilst the razor does not glide as nicely as a closed comb this would be the closest thing to a straight razor. BBS is the goal and it delivers! However I would only recommend for coarse growth and a 3+ days growth. This thing will bite you hard if not careful so inexperienced wet shavers be warned. Yet if you have good lather and let the blade do the work then you will be rewarded with an outstanding shave. I cannot believe how smooth you can get your face. I do a 3 pass shave every time. The R41 has a beautiful long handle and good hefty feel.Highly recommended!

Terrific Service, Great Product

German quality shines on this safety razor. It's built well, and a pleasure to use. It's aggressive by design and you have to be extra careful not to cut yourself. I use it once a week and cuts perfect.

Perfection

I’ve had the original chrome r41 for years now ,still a great razor so decided to get this one ,being stainless steel and great reviews I’ve heard…it’s a definite upgrade ,heavier and a slightly more aggressive yet smooth feel..very shiny ,great heavy feel in the hand and a heirloom quality … More than happy

Slick shave

First shave was a bit of wolf attack - perhaps I was too impatient. Now that I'm around it my face has never slipperier.
